Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer was born in London, on 22 August 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. The album climbed to the top spot at No. 3 in the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles released including Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her mother is Bosnian. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. She has two siblings, Rina as well as Gjin. Her father, a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan group Oda has influenced her in a musical way. Lipa started singing at the age of was five years old. The Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing at the age of nine. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
